DFX Corse Honda SBK
  Daniele Carli started his own team in the Italian Supersport championship in 1997. In 2001, with the support of Pirelli, he ran former Australian Superbike champion Steve Martin in the World Superbike championship with Ducati. The DFX team switched to Honda last year with the experienced Pier-Francesco Chili partnering the youthful Michel Fabrizio. For 2007 Steve Martin has rejoined the team, while Chili will develop his remarkable riding career into team management.

Michel Fabrizio, 22, already has a lot of racing behind him. He began on minimotos aged six, and by the time he was 18, he had a 125 GP ride with Gilera.

Fabrizio won the European Superstock championship in 2003, which led to a MotoGP ride with WCM the following year. In 2005, he joined the Italian Megabike World Supersport team, taking five podiums before moving up to Superbike last year.

After winning the Australian Superbike championship, Steve Martin joined SBK with DFX in 2001, developing Pirelli’s race rubber which is now the control tyre of the series. His most successful season was in 2004, with three pole positions, five podiums and overall seventh place.

Two years with Petronas are now behind the 38-year-old, who rejoins the DFX team which will campaign Honda CBR1000RR FireBlades for the 2007 season.
