The Alto Evolution team has emerged for 2007 from one of the longest-serving teams in the Superbike and Supersport world championships, that of Sergio Bertocchi. The team is running Honda CBR1000RR Fireblades this season, piloted by Australians, Karl Muggeridge and Josh Brookes who will be challenging for podiums and race wins throughout the season. |

After his World Supersport victory in 2004, Karl Muggeridge took the natural step to World Superbike with the Ten Kate Honda team. However, bad-luck and resulting injuries prevented the man with the widest smile in the paddock from maximising his opportunity.
He first rode for the Dutch Ten Kate team in 1999 and went full-time in 2000. After two seasons with other teams he returned to the team in 2003 and was immediately a front runner, dominating the 2004 World Supersport championship. |

Josh Brookes first leapt into the spotlight in 2004 when he won the World Supersport championship race at Phillip Island as a wildcard on an Australian Castrol Honda CBR600RR. The following year he did his domestic double, winning both the Australian Superbike and Supersport championships.
Eager to fulfill his potential on the European stage, an ill-matched World Supersport ride last year saw Brookes switch to the Bertocchi SBK team mid-season – now renamed Alto Evolution – and he returns for 2007 to his favoured Honda machinery. |
