In 2007, Thai Honda PTT SAG team (formerly known as Stop And Go) will face a new challenge in the World Championship. Having completed their first 250cc season last year with Fabricio Perren, establishing themselves as a solid outfit, the team makes another step forward this year with Thai youngster Ratthapark “Film” Wilairot, the first Thai rider ever to enter the World Championship. As the son of former rider Christmas Wilairot - the first Thai rider to win international races, Ratthapark started to ride at five and soon began racing under the guidance of his father to eventually enter the Honda Racing School. He made history taking sixth overall to secure a full-time ride in the 250cc Japanese series for 2005 and was runner-up in 2006. |
